The sept used to sit in the open at the base of a glacier in front of a beautiful lake. Corruption came though, and a war was fought and the sept totem, risking everything caused a massive upheaval in the world. It shifted and moved the entire glacier 2 miles, unnoticed by the world, and covered its sept inside an icy tomb.

Now the sept exist's inside a dome of ice, accessible only by a few tunnels the glacier acts as guardian from any outside influence. Inside the dome it is kept at a livable temperature by the aid of spirits. The edges of the dome are just above freezing but further in it can get as warm as 75 degrees Fahrenheit. A delicate balance is preserved by the keeper, between the spirits who keep the sept warm, and the spirits at the edge of the dome who keep it frozen and solid. Chiminage is paid to all these spirits monthly for protecting the sept.

The glacier and associated lake are located about 70 miles to the north of Anchorage.
